Most businesses in Bangladesh that have tried off-page SEO before have run into one of two problems. Either the links did nothing at all, or they worked for a while, then a Google update wiped the rankings out. Both happen for the same reason: someone chased the number of links instead of the quality of them.
I’m Faisal Mustafa. With over 10 years of off-page SEO and link building work, I build strategies around what holds up through Google’s updates, not what works until the next one hits.

Off-page SEO still starts with backlinks, and that hasn’t changed; they remain the strongest ranking signal.
But authority now gets measured on more than links alone. Unlinked brand mentions count too: when a credible site names your business without linking to it, Google still reads that as a trust signal.
AI citation signals matter as well, since ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and Perplexity all pull answers from sources they already trust, so off-page SEO now includes building enough credibility to get cited by these systems too, not just ranked by Google.
Digital PR ties it together: editorial coverage in credible publications earns you backlinks and brand mentions in the same move, making it the highest-value off-page activity right now.
Getting a link is easy. Getting one that actually moves your rankings, without putting your site at risk, is the hard part. Here’s exactly what I check before any link goes live.
I only go after links from sites in my clients' actual industry. A Bangladesh law firm doesn't need a hundred random blog links. It needs one from a real legal publication, and that's what I go find.
My clients' profiles get the right mix of both — enough dofollow to pass ranking power, enough nofollow to keep things looking natural to Google, so they get the benefit without raising a red flag.
Anchor text gets spread naturally across brand name, partial match, plain URL, and generic terms — keeping the profile looking like something that grew organically, and keeping clients clear of manual penalty risk.
Every link I get my clients comes from a site Google already trusts, one with real visitors. That's how their links actually move rankings, instead of sitting on a low-traffic page doing nothing.
My clients' links go inside the actual body of relevant, topically-aligned articles, not buried in a footer, sidebar, or author bio where they carry almost no weight and get little to no real SEO value
I build my clients' links at a pace that matches a real, growing business, not a sudden flood that looks purchased. A steady, natural rhythm keeps their profile credible to Google and protects them from a penalty.
Here’s exactly what’s included when you hire me for off-page SEO. No vague packages, just the work that actually builds your authority.
Your brand gets published and linked on relevant sites in your industry.
Any links hurting your site get flagged and cleaned up before they trigger a penalty.
Broken links on relevant sites become new opportunities, with your content placed right where they used to point.
Your site gets the base layer of trusted, relevant links it needs before it can compete at all.
You get a clear view of where your competitors get their authority from, so we can go after the same opportunities, and better ones.
No guesswork and no black box. Here’s exactly how the work happens, from the first audit to ongoing reporting.
I review your current backlink profile, flag toxic or risky links, and map out where your authority gaps actually are.
I reach out to relevant, trusted sites and get your links placed where they'll actually count.
I track every link that goes live, watch your domain authority over time, and keep monitoring your profile so nothing slips back into risky territory.
PBNs, link farms, and mass directory submissions can look like they’re working for two to six months. Then a Google core update or spam update wipes the rankings out. Recovering from that penalty usually takes 6 to 12 months and needs a full disavow campaign, which ends up costing more in time and money than the original work would have.
Google’s spam detection has gotten a lot sharper too. AI-assisted detection now catches link schemes that would have gone unnoticed five years ago.
The real cost compounds. Every month spent recovering from a penalty is a month of organic traffic you’re not earning. For a business making real revenue from organic search, one penalty can cost more than a full year of proper, white-hat link building would have.
To be clear about what I don’t do: no PBNs, no link farms, no automated link building, no paid link schemes, and nothing that violates Google’s link spam policies.
Personal injury law firm, backlink profile central to campaign
Ecommerce business — authority growth as a core driver
If you’re not sure whether your current backlink profile is helping you or quietly holding you back, that’s the first thing worth checking. I’ll run a free off-page SEO audit that shows you exactly which links are working, which ones are risky, and what your site needs to build real authority.
There’s no fixed number. It depends on how competitive your industry and keywords are, and how strong your competitors’ backlink profiles already are. A handful of the right links often beats a hundred weak ones, so the real question isn’t how many, it’s how good.
